To set the Schedule Assistant to default to the Gantt chart view instead of the List view, click the three dots (•••) on one of the Schedule Boards and select Board Settings.
Within Board Settings, click the Edit Defaults hyperlink to access and change the default view settings.
Then you will need to open Schedule types and choose the related table you want to edit the defaults for. In this case I want to do it for Projects. Once you have done this then you should be able to see the ‘Default availability view’ and you can change it to ‘Board (Gantt view)’.

Navigate to the same location as before. Once there, you’ll be able to edit the ‘Schedule Assistant Retrieve Constraints Query’.
You’ll see a section that lists the check box options—set them to true or false to control how they appear by default in the Schedule Assistant.
